And that is when I fully realized that our 2 year old daughter fell in the pool and fully rescued herself and got out!
Our family went to Palm Springs for a week in late January. We pretty much laid around in the sun all day and were at a shared community pool. Sienna had not gotten in the pool yet but was told a few times to stop running near the pool. She was playing with some toys sort of close to the pool. The pool was cold and she did not want to get in. She again started to run…. slipped on some water…. fell right in the pool! My heart was racing, of course, and although it went against every natural instinct in my body not to run and help her…. I walked over to her…. saw that she was scared and a bit panicked from the cold water and trying to keep herself up. I guess she realized I was not really going to help her right away (again… not easy to not help when I can see she is struggling! but I felt it important an important lesson that she knew she could help herself, as I knew that she was a capable swimmer). She then quickly got herself together and swam back to the edge, and climbed out by herself!!! We were shaken up. And that is when I fully realized that our 2 year old daughter fell in the pool and fully rescued herself and got out! It was quite a day for us! What a blessing that she has learned SO much in such a short amount of time from Swimbabes. It is a miracle.
Thank You for Everything!
